Q: How do I make a rental reservation?
A: Our rental scheduling is done through email. Please send your requests to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include the number of sleds, whether you need singles or doubles, and the date(s) you would like. Once we have the details of your request, and if we have availability, we will email you a quote and instructions on how to confirm your reservation.
Q: When will I be charged for the $500 security deposit (per snowmobile)?
A: You will be charged for the security deposit when you arrive at County Wide on the day your rental begins.
Q: When will I get the security deposit back?
A: The security deposit will be returned when our technicians verify that the snowmobile has been returned in the same condition it went out in.
Q: Do you offer discounts?
A: We do offer a group discount with the rental of 8 or more sleds for 3 or more days.
Q: What if there isn’t enough snow during my rental period?
A: County Wide reserves the right to cancel your reservation if we decide that the trail conditions are not good enough for riding due to the lack of snow. We try to let our customers know as soon as possible if this happens.
Q: Will I be charged for my rental if there isn’t enough snow?
A: If County Wide cancels your reservation, you will not be charged. If you cancel your reservation, we need to be notified no less than 72 hours before your rental. Less than 72 hours will result in a $200 cancellation fee per reserved snowmobile.
Q: County Wide sent me one quote for our group. Can the cost be split up between riders?
A: We would be happy to split up the rental fee and security deposit between members of your group. While we need at least one person in your group to send in the completed credit card authorization form and the signed participation agreement in order to hold your reservation, no charges will be made to their credit card until your group arrives at County Wide for your rental. The fees can be split up at that time.
Q: What kind of snowmobiles does County Wide rent?
A: Our rental fleet is generally 2016 - 2019 Polaris Indy models with heated grips. All are 550 cc fan-cooled engines and have electric start.
Q: How do we get the snowmobiles to the trail?
A: County Wide is perfectly situated near the Harbor Springs trail system. Your group can park at County Wide and ride right out of our parking lot onto the trail.
Q: Can County Wide deliver snowmobiles to another location?
A: Delivery is subject to schedule availability and distance. Please let us know as soon as possible if you would like snowmobiles delivered so we can let you know if it is possible. We do not allow renters to transport County Wide rental sleds.
Q: Does County Wide rent snowmobile gear?
A: At this time, the only gear we rent are snowmobile helmets, which are included in the rental fee: (1) helmet with a single-person snowmobile and (2) helmets with a two-person snowmobile. Additional helmets can be rented for $10/each per day. We do have jackets, bibs, goggles, gloves, and head gear available for purchase as well.
